For the 8th year, Program Chair Mark Rosen and an expert faculty seek to inform the legal and business communities about the latest developments in the field of cybersecurity that are much too important to be ignored.

 

Our ALL STAR faculty will discuss the changing technical climate, cyber threats and hacks. threats to the rule of law and national security, and the ever-changing roles and responsibilities of attorneys and firms.

 

Some of the topics to be discussed include:

 

  • Cyber crimes
  • Responsibilities of attorneys to keep their firms, clients, employees, transactions and data safe, and continuing obligations
  • Threats and advantages of remote work, including ethical considerations
  • BYOD and cybersecurity risks
  • Cyber insurance vs other types of policies: who is covered (of counsel, interns, outsourced workers)? determining loss? what is covered? continuing obligations; how qualified is your IT staff?
  • Incident response (including a reenactment of “what should we do now?”)
  • Threats to the rule of law, national security and likely repercussions
