The Joint Committee on Fee
Disputes and Conciliation sponsors a program that provides a means to resolve
fee disputes between attorneys and clients in an atmosphere of mutual
understanding. This is done in two ways, by mediation or arbitration.
Attorneys and non-attorneys with arbitration or mediation experience that are
interested in becoming an arbitrator or mediator for this program may
apply. Attorney applicants must be admitted to the New York State Bar for
at least five years.
Both attorney and
non-attorney applicants should email a resume and cover letter highlighting any
relevant experience to FeeDisputeAdmin@nycla.org.
