Join NYCLA’s Justice Center and a panel of experts as they discuss the immigration challenges that have come to the forefront during the pandemic and the ways to deal with them, including: whether the Sanctuary Cities model can survive; the NYC Office of Immigration Affairs’ mission of providing immigrant New Yorkers access to justice and advocating for immigrant reform; issues surrounding detention; applying for asylum during the pandemic; what’s happening in the courts; and the work of WCCHR as a “model for future asylum evaluation programs,”
