The New York County Lawyers Association (NYCLA) Annual Honorable Richard Lee Price New York City High School Essay Contest Awards Ceremony will take place on June 3 at 5:00 PM at the NYCLA Home of Law.

Established 30 years ago by NYCLA’s Law Related Education Committee, the contest was renamed in 2024 in honor of the late Honorable Richard Lee Price, whose dedication to civic education and mentorship left a lasting impact on generations of students.

Each year, the contest recognizes ten outstanding New York City high school students who submit essays responding to a hypothetical legal question. Essays are evaluated on originality, writing style, grammar, and adherence to formatting guidelines.
