New York County Lawyers Association Issues Statement

on Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Confirmation to SCOTUS

The New York County Lawyers Association (NYCLA) congratulates Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson on her confirmation as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court. As the first Black woman and the first former public defender to serve on the Court, she will bring a valuable new perspective. In light of her outstanding credentials and unwavering commitment to the rule of law, coupled with her broad and deep experience with our legal system, we are confident that she will serve with honor, dignity, and distinction.
