LAWYERS RALLY FOR THE RULE OF LAW
JUNE 16, 1:00 PM @ Foley Square, New York

Organized by the New York County Lawyers Association, New York City Bar Association, New York Council of Defense Lawyers, and Metropolitan Black Bar Association

New York, New York – The New York County Lawyers Association (NYCLA), along with the New York City Bar Association, the New York Council of Defense Lawyers, and the Metropolitan Black Bar Association, announced a Rally for the Rule of Law on June 16th, 2026, in Foley Square Park.  The Rally is intended to coincide with Flag Day, our celebration of the ultimate symbol of our nation’s adherence to a system of equality before the law.  The theme of this year’s Rally is “Time to Lawyer Up,” as we recognize the important role lawyers play in upholding the rule of law and defending against attacks on it.  The Rally will feature an array of speakers and will offer information about how lawyers can help on issues such as immigration, voting rights, civil rights and legal services.  Attendees are asked to wear business attire and come ready to re-take their Lawyer’s Oath.

“As lawyers and concerned citizens, it is incumbent upon us to make our voices heard. All the organizations who worked on making this rally happen have helped to amplify this message of solidarity in support of the rule of law, our constitutional democracy and judicial independence,” said Ronald C. Minkoff, NYCLA President and a primary organizer of this rally.

Open to all, the rally will begin at 1:00 PM on June 16th, 2026, at Foley Square Park, across from the courthouse.
