COURSE DETAILS

Described as “the last hero” by Dwight Eisenhower, Donovan lived many lives. He was a college football star, decorated soldier, successful lawyer and intelligence chief who left many legacies that spanned over five decades.

Known as the “Father of American Intelligence,” he was instrumental after World War II in fashioning post-war security in reaction to the blossoming Cold War. Indeed, he was emblematic of another era — when America first found itself entering the world with the responsibilities of global leadership.

Indeed, his is a fascinating story. Although his career had its ups and downs, he must be recognized as the spiritual godfather to the national security state.
