Since its inception, NYCLA has been at the forefront of most legal debates in the country. We have provided legal education for more than 40 years.
Lawyers are trained to perform under pressure, navigate demanding workloads, meet tight deadlines, and maintain excellence in high-stakes environments. Yet sustained exposure to chronic stress can erode focus, decision-making, resilience, and overall well-being.
In this engaging and practical presentation, Hayat Yussuf draws on her unique background in both corporate leadership and trauma-informed clinical practice to help legal professionals better understand the neuroscience of stress, burnout, resilience, and sustained performance. Participants will learn to recognize early warning signs of burnout and nervous system dysregulation while gaining practical, evidence-based tools that can be applied immediately to strengthen resilience, improve well-being, and support long-term professional success.
