The NYCLA Committee on Professional Ethics accepts telephone inquiries on ethics matters through its hotline service. For telephone assistance please contact the appropriate member listed below. Members are encouraged to review The Rules of Professional Conduct first.
Questions to the hotline are limited to an inquiring attorney’s own conduct under New York’s Rules of Professional Conduct. Also, the hotline does not answer questions that are being litigated in a pending legal proceeding or before a grievance committee, or questions of law. Calls to the hotline are confidential but not privileged.
Our Hotline is staffed by attorney volunteers, so we ask your patience if you are not able to reach someone immediately. We aim to return all calls within 24 hours.
