Do you love animals? Would you like to learn how to use your legal skills to help animals in need? What’s stopping you?

Join NYCLA’s Animal Law Committee as they host a public forum to discuss legal issues related to rescuing homeless animals and what you can do to help.

Panelists:

•  Karen Copeland, Esq.,  who will make a presentation on emotional support animals and housing law

•  Rachel Hirschfeld, Esq., NYCLA Animal Law Committee Co-Chair, will be speaking on dog bite liability

•  Richard Rosenthal, Esq., founder and director of the Lexus  Project which litigates animal welfare cases

•  Steven Warshawsky, Esq., a former Assistant United States Attorney, who will explain how to setup a New York State not-for–profit corporation to support animal rescue efforts

Moderator:

•  Kevan Cleary, Esq., NYCLA Animal Law Committee Co-Chair, and a Brooklyn Law School Adjunct Assistant Professor, will moderate the discussion and facilitate a lively exchange between the panelists and attendees
