Course Description:

3D Printed Houses? Printable wire? Programmable Piping that expands and contracts on its own?
             
Come learn the latest capabilities, trends, and applications for 3D Printing/Additive Manufacturing in the Architectural and Construction Industry.

We will discuss the practical, legal and regulatory landscape of both plastic and metal applications of this new technology.

Panelists include: 

Pat Comerford: is a manufacturer's trial lawyer (McCarter & English, Boston office)  and a frequent speaker on 3D printing.

Kevin Kennon: Kevin Kennon Architects is an architect, located in New York City, whose work includes large mixed-use developments to residential interiors and includes cultural institutions, hotels, resorts, educational facilities, galleries, residences, commercial spaces, and theaters- domestic and abroad.

Elisabeth Malsch: Dr. Malsch is head of the Advanced Analytics Group, at Thornton Tomasetti. She has more than 12 years of experience in modeling and mechanical behavior of structures. She uses 3D printed models to explain critical structural connections and members in forensic investigations,  and for constructing prototypes in support of R&D projects.
