Course Description:

NYCLA's Insurance Committee is co-sponsoring its first program on hydraulic fracturing ("hydrofracking"). A panel of experts will discuss some of the insurance implications stemming from hydrofracking, including:

  • the liability issues and claims that the oil and gas industry will face so long as federal and local governments permit this form of shale oil and gas exploration; and
  • the coverage concerns arising from fracking, including a discussion of the various insurance lines that face exposure to hydrofracking risks.
