Course Description:

Hear from a panel of experts about the issues common to Immigration and Family Courts; including a discussion of  Special Immigration Juvenile Status (SIJS) cases. 

Topics to be discussed include:

  • Overview of Special Immigrant Juvenile Status and Recent Appellate Decisions 
  • Immigrant Children in Removal Proceedings – Case Studies in Immigration Court 
  • Immigrant Children Seeking Special Findings in Family Court – Case Studies in Family Court
  • What Happens After Family Court? The Decision to Grant Special Immigrant Juvenile Status
