Since mid-2017, the composition of the New York Court of Appeals has remained constant. Yet, the majority and the dissenters are ever-changing. But -- is a 3-3 split with a swing vote developing, similar to, although not as extreme, as the U>S> Supreme Court? This program will examine the significant Court of Appeals Cases on both:
— Civil Law and Procedure
— Criminal Law and Procedure

as well as point out themes and trends in the issues that the Court accepts, how the Court decides them, and the splits between the majority and the dissenters.

NYCLA's Judicial Section offers this program to give attorneys the benefit of the valuable legal education updates that State Court Judges regularly enjoy at their Annual Conferences and its Judicial Institute Programs.

This update is equally essential for any attorney whose practice relies on state law. You will receive comprehensive written materials and hear from a panel of  expert Court of Appeals watchers who will highlight developments in the law by the court.

Whether you handle motions, trials, or appeals, this panel's presentation is an opportunity not to be missed!!!!
