Tsui Yee has been exclusively practicing immigration law since 1999. Ms. Yee received her Juris Doctorate from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law in 1998.  While at UCLA she was a Comments Editor for the Asian Pacific American Law Journal and interned for the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, Employment Litigation Section. Ms. Yee received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Tufts University in 1993.


Ms. Yee handles a wide variety of immigration matters, with an emphasis on complicated family-based applications for permanent residence, defense in removal (deportation) proceedings, applications for naturalization and applications for various waivers of inadmissibility, such as for unlawful presence, criminal issues and fraud.  In 2005, Ms. Yee was a founding partner of the immigration law firm of Yee & Durkin, LLP, now known as Yee Durkin & Puri LLP.  Ms. Yee’s pro bono work includes representing applicants for asylum, battered spouses who are self-petitioning for permanent residence pursuant to the Violence Against Women Act, unaccompanied minors in removal proceedings and volunteering for the annual CUNY/Daily News Citizenship Now! Call-In.


Ms. Yee is admitted to practice law in the State of New York, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Asian American Bar Association of New York, where she is a Co-Chair of the Immigration and Nationality Law Committee, the New York County Lawyers’ Association, where she is a Vice Chair of the Solo and Small-Firm Practice Committee, and the Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York.
