Accredited Provider Status New York County Lawyers' Association is currently certified as a Accredited Provider of continuing legal education in the State of New York and the State of New Jersey. Courses qualifying for CLE credit in New Jersey will be so designated on the NYCLA website.
Confirmation/Check-In Online registrants will receive an e-mail confirmation. Upon arrival, check in at the Registration Desk. If registering at the door, the appropriate fee must accompany your registration form, including a $25.00 late registration fee for applicable classes.
Refunds Written notice of cancellation must be received by NYCLA no later than 1 hour prior to the start of the program for refund of the course registration fee. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or fax cancellation to 212-267-1745. A $35 processing fee per course will be deducted from the refund for cancellations received less than five calendar days prior to the course date. No refunds will be issued after the program start time. No refunds will be issued for unattended portions of multi-part courses. For multi-part courses written notice of cancellation must be received no later than one hour prior to the start of the first day of the class to receive a refund.
MCLE Certificates In most cases, MCLE certificates will be distributed at the end of each CLE program. Certificates not so distributed will be mailed to all persons completing the program within two weeks of course completion. New York State CLE Board Regulations require each licensed attorney to maintain his/her MCLE certificates for a period of four years in the event that he/she is audited by the Board.
Lost Certificates Attorneys who have lost their CLE certificates may request a replacement for a $15 processing fee for checking our records, verifying attendance and issuing a new certificate.
Limitations on CLE Credit Awards The New York State CLE Board has ruled that full CLE credits may not be awarded for attending part of a course session. Late arrivals or early departures from courses will affect the number of credits awarded.
Entrance and Facilities for the Disabled. For wheelchair access, a ramp is provided. Please call at least one day in advance to make arrangements: 212-267-6646. Special restroom facilities are located on the 4th floor with elevator access.
Early Registration is Advised Pre-register if at all possible. Space is limited and courses sell out early. Pre-registration guarantees you a seat and course material. At-door registrants will be allowed to register subject to seat availability and will incur an additional $25 late fee for applicable classes. Registrations received less than 24 hours prior to start of a course will be considered “at-door” and will incur the $25.00 late fee.
Online Registration Save time by registering online. All major credit cards are accepted. Be sure to input your credit card information and e-mail address in the required fields in order to receive an e-mail confirmation. The Institute must receive all online registrations at least 24 hours prior to the start of a program in order for you to avoid an additional $25.00 late fee for applicable classes.
Course Materials for most classes will be distributed via USB flash drive, or downloaded from the NYCLA website, unless a hard copy is requested at least 24 hours before the program.
