Course Description:

Join NYCLA's Cyberlaw Committee for a look at recent cases focusing on the fast changing area of Cyberlaw. Emphasis will be on privacy rights under the Stored Communications Act, a law that addresses voluntary and compelled disclosure of "stored wire and electronic communications and transactional records" held by third-party internet service providers (ISPs), Other topics to be discussed include civil and government subpoenas, e-discovery methods and best practices in the area.
