Agreements; Support; Custody and Ethics
For attorneys new to Matrimonial Practice, or for lawyers interested in exploring the field, this program will provide an introduction to the basics—from initial client interviews to grounds, jurisdiction service, forms, court procedures and uncontested divorces.
The program will also go beyond the basics to explore agreements including prenupual, stipulation of settlement and separation, child support, custody and attorney for the child, equitable distribution, domestic violence and ethical issues facing matrimonial attorneys. The panel of experts will provide practical guidance and tips for practitioners, including a “view from the bench,” and presentations from court attorneys. To receive CLE credit for program on DVD/CD: DVD/CDs
are embedded with CLE codes that you must copy onto a supplied
affirmation sheet. Return the signed and dated affirmation to the NYCLA
CLE Institute to be issued a CLE certificate. We recommend that you watch/listen to DVD/CDs as soon as possible. We can only issue CLE credit if the law is still current. The date of your signed affirmation will determine the date of your CLE certificate.
