Description:

Learn what you need to know to handle an eviction action in New Jersey including: who are the parties; how to commence the action; grounds for eviction; trial; settlement in court; contested actions; defenses; and post trial actions and activities, including how to dispose of the tenant’s personal property. Explore the limits and guidelines surrounding rent increases and the differences between tenants and borders, an important distinction, especially in light of the economic downturn.
