As an attorney you will be looked to for assistance and advice on how best to protect individuals, their families and their assets from crushing taxes and costly litigation. Will a Will be enough? This course covers the trusts and estates basics that all attorneys must be aware of including New York's new Power of Attorney, Health Care Proxies, Wills, Trusts, tax planning, and how drafting a simple Will can leave the average attorney open to malpractice. The course further covers a series of ethical issues inherent in trusts and estates practice such as dealing with joint representation and answering the seemingly basic question – Who do I represent?
