Course Description:
Join NYCLA's  Civil Rights and Liberties Committee and Ginger McCall, Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law School and Director of the Open Government Program at the Electronic Privacy Information Center in Washington DC, for a discussion on the  best practices for making requests and effectively litigating challenges to refusals under the United States Freedom of Information Act, with.

Ms. McCall, a recognized expert on FOIA and FOIA litigation,  will explain the scope and utility of FOIA, provide basic guidance for litigating challenges to FOIA request refusals, and give a primer on effective use of FOIA materials in litigation.
