Course Description:

Have you ever wanted to learn more about the field of Child Welfare Law? Do you want to get up to date on how the Family Courts and their litigants are striving to improve the lives of those in the traditionally under-served communities of women, minorities and LGBTQ? Then this is the program for you. A panel of sitting Family Court judges and public and private practitioners will discuss their experiences and observations from their everyday work in the field. The program will have a particular focus on policy, its role in the context of these communities and the ethical issues that may arise.
