Course Description:

A panel of experts will discuss all types of insurance a construction counsel should be aware of, as well as a more in-depth look about Builder's Risk, a special type of property insurance.

Some of the areas to be discussed include:

• The state of the insurance market and its impact on the legal community
• Risk in construction
• Different types of insurance necessary for a construction project
• Pitfalls to avoid when negotiating the insurance aspects of a construction contract
• Insurance contract provisions
• Endorsements and Builder's Risk
• Claims: Steps necessary to enforce a policy; exclusions
