A panel of experts will discuss all types of insurance a construction counsel should be aware of, as well as a more in-depth look about Builder's Risk, a special type of property insurance.
Some of the areas to be discussed include:
- The state of the insurance market and its impact on the legal community
- Risk in construction
- Different types of insurance necessary for a construction project
- Pitfalls to avoid when negotiating the insurance aspects of a construction contract
- Insurance contract provisions
- Endorsements and Builder's Risk
- Claims: Steps necessary to enforce a policy; exclusions
