Recent studies have demonstrated that high stress levels in the legal profession have contributed to alarming rates of depression, anxiety disorders, addiction and various stress-based physical ailments among practicing attorneys. In this seminar, we will tackle daily and weekly strategies to manage stress on and off the job in order to preserve your mental and physical health. Particularly, we will discuss:
- Strategies for unplugging from work, even in today's constantly available technological environment;
- Time management strategies that will help to preserve your life at work and at home;
- How to handle a crisis at work without losing your equilibrium;
- Dealing effectively with conflict in your workplace;
- Daily and weekly practices for decompressing; and
- How to avoid pitfalls of stress management that don't work, in favor of those that do.
