Course Description:
The New EPA Renovation Repair and Painting Rule is effective April 22, 2010. The Rule will affect contractors, property managers, and others who disturb known or presumed lead-based paint during renovation. The new rule apply to all renovation work performed in residential houses, apartment buildings, schools and day care facilities built before 1978. The Rule contains new training, certification, and work practice requirements. This seminar will discuss the new EPA regulations and the current New York City lead paint laws and regulations. The seminar panelists will include speakers from EPA and City agencies, and will inform members of the real estate industry and their counsel on how to comply with the new law.
